Editorial philosophy Paediatrics.me delivers accurate, up-todate information on the childhood diseases prevalent in the Region and on community child health. The journal is circulated free of charge to general practitioners, paediatricians and community child health teams in the Middle East Region, including Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. Subscriptions are available to those who do not qualify for free circulation. Editorial content is independent of advertising. Articles are peer reviewed and no payment is made to authors. Where possible, papers include information relevant to the Middle East, e.g. the incidence and prevalence of a particular condition in the Region. Notes to contributors References are in the Vancouver style (as in Journal of Pediatrics, Archives of Disease in Childhood and most biomedical journals). They should be numbered in the text and listed at the end of the article in the order in which they are first cited. Illustrations, including in full colour, are particularly welcome. Where a patient could be identified from an illustration or from the text, written permission from the parent or guardian must be forwarded with the article. The journal actively welcomes the submission of papers. To enquire
